medical weight loss

Weight loss built on biology, not gimmicks.

One in eight Americans is now using a GLP-1 in their weight loss journey. We evaluate whether one is right for you, build a physician-guided plan around it, and optimize the metabolic engine underneath.

Medical Weight Loss at MBS Medical GLP-1 available

GLP-1 weight loss programs

Semaglutide, tirzepatide, Wegovy, naltrexone-bupropion, phentermine, topiramate, sermorelin, liraglutide, and non-branded options. Evaluated and prescribed when clinically appropriate.

Physician-guided plans

Real clinical oversight, not a one-size-fits-all program. Your provider builds the plan around your labs, history, and what you can actually sustain.

Metabolic optimization

Beyond the medication: muscle, metabolic flexibility, sleep, nutrition, and stress. The biology that decides whether weight loss lasts.

GLP-1 therapy, the medication that changed the conversation

Semaglutide and tirzepatide work on appetite regulation at the hormonal level. Clinical trials show 15 to 22% body weight reduction for the right candidates. We evaluate whether you're one of them, then prescribe with the monitoring it deserves.

The work the medication can't do alone

Long-term weight loss is decided by your metabolic engine. Muscle, sleep, stress, and how cleanly your body switches between burning carbs and fats. Your plan addresses all of it.

What patients say.

i lost 28 pounds in four months. the difference was having a real provider who adjusted my plan when things weren't working instead of just sending me a meal plan PDF.

how it works

Your path to better health

Initial consultation

We review your health history, current medications, and weight loss goals. A frank conversation about what's worked, what hasn't, and what's realistic.

Lab work

Baseline labs to understand your metabolic health, hormones, thyroid, and other factors. Results reviewed with you at a follow-up visit.

Personalized plan

Your provider builds a plan based on your labs and goals. If GLP-1 therapy is appropriate, we start low and titrate carefully. Follow-ups every 4-8 weeks.

Common questions

Things people ask.

More questions? Contact us.

Do you prescribe semaglutide and tirzepatide?

Yes. We evaluate patients for GLP-1 receptor agonists including semaglutide (generic and brand), tirzepatide, liraglutide, and other agents. Whether we prescribe depends on your clinical picture, contraindications, and goals. We will never prescribe something we don't think is right for you.

Do you offer non-GLP-1 weight loss medications?

Yes. Phentermine, topiramate, naltrexone-bupropion (Contrave), and others are available when clinically appropriate. Some patients respond better to these, or use them in combination with lifestyle interventions instead of injectables.

How much weight can I expect to lose?

Clinical trials show 15-22% body weight reduction over 68-72 weeks for the right GLP-1 candidates. Individual results vary. We focus on sustainable, meaningful progress rather than setting unrealistic expectations.

What is metabolic optimization?

It's the set of evidence-based interventions that improve how efficiently your body produces energy, burns fat, and regulates hormones. Resistance training to build metabolically active muscle, eating for metabolic flexibility, prioritizing sleep, and managing stress. These aren't extras. They're what make medication work and weight loss stick.

Do I need to come in person?

No. Everything is handled via telehealth. Lab orders are sent to a location near you and results are reviewed at a follow-up video visit.

What if GLP-1 isn't right for me?

We will tell you that clearly and work with you on alternatives. There are many effective approaches to medically supervised weight loss and we will find the right fit for your situation.
